Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Associate Programme Management Officer, Civil Society Unit, Governance Affairs Office, the intern will

• support the Office which serves as the technical secretariat for the United Nations Environment Assembly and its subsidiary organs. In this context, the Office seeks energetic and motivated interns to support its work in the following areas, as assigned: –
  • Support preparation in website updates;
  • Adding and editing accredited organizations to the website;
  • Uploading documents to repository;
• Editing contents of civil society webpages –
• Support Registration processes of the various meetings including working on the list of participants –
• Develop and conduct a Series of Client Satisfaction Survey – including analyses to feedback to the clientele – especially the Committee of Permanent Representatives.
• Draft Accreditation Memos for organizations that have submitted accreditation requests for review –
• Support effective communications with accredited UNEP Major Groups and Stakeholders in line with UN mandates and guidelines. –
• Support the day-to-day management of internal Major Groups and Stakeholders databases; –
• Other tasks, as requested.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in either of these Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Data science, Cyber Security; and
• Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
• Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent); c. Have graduated with a university degree None
