As a Field Investigations & Asset Recovery Specialist, you will play a critical role in protecting the company’s financed assets, driving timely repayments, and minimizing portfolio risk. This is a high‑accountability, performance‑based role where success is measured by recovery rates, quality of investigations and adherence to compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

Field Investigations & Client Engagement

  • Conduct field visits to clients with overdue accounts, investigate non‑payment causes, and negotiate sustainable payment solutions.
  • Perform advanced field investigations on high‑risk cases, including tracing clients, assets, and assessing fraud indicators.
  • Lead escalated repossession cases for offline Bodas where previous follow‑up attempts (calls, demand letters) have failed.

Asset Recovery & Compliance

  • Professionally recover financed assets in accordance with company procedures, regulatory standards, and Kenya’s legal framework.
  • Collaborate with police officers, NTSA officials, county enforcement units, and other government agencies to ensure legal compliance, safe asset repossession, and secure storage.

Incident & Fraud Investigations

  • Prepare detailed investigation reports on missing or disputed assets, outlining findings, risk evaluation, and recommendations for credit and risk teams.
  • Compile incident reports, conduct root-cause analysis, and propose preventive measures for future risk mitigation.
  • Monitor field trends, fraud indicators, and offer intelligence insights to support the company’s broader risk strategy.

Data Analysis, Reporting & Innovation

  • Prepare weekly and monthly field recovery performance reports and recommend optimized recovery strategies.
  • Identify and propose innovative approaches to asset monitoring, tracking, and verification.
  • Stay updated on new regulatory changes in the motorbike industry and advise management on operational impact.

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Security Studies, Investigations, or a related field.
  •  A2 Driving License (Mandatory).
  • Proven experience in field investigations, security operations, asset recovery, compliance, or a related investigative role.
  • Prior experience in debt recovery or credit collection is an added advantage.
  • Experience working within the discipline forces (Police, KDF, NYS, NIS, or similar) is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict‑resolution abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Fluent in English and Swahili.
  • Self‑driven, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
