Purpose Of The Job
This position is responsible for investigating allegations of fraud or misappropriation of company assets by gathering relevant evidence and supporting prosecution processes in courts.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop investigation/work plans for the cases allocated
- Undertake investigations on allegations of fraud or misappropriation of company property or any criminal activity.
- Carry out ad hoc investigations and reviews based on audit findings
- Gathering and analyzing evidence and organizing it in statements, sets of records and facts;
- Gather information and produce intelligence reports to inform investigations;
- Ensure safe custody of all investigative records and evidence;
- Document all investigations in a concise, factual and timely manner;
- Support prosecution process in court by attending court sittings involving investigations handled; and
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Key Requirement Skills And Qualification
- Academic and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
- Training in fraud examination/investigations from a recognized institution.
- Professional qualifications – CPA(K)/CIA/CISA/ACCA
- At least 3 years audit experience in a commercial setting or professional audit firm
