Inventory Officer Job

Job Summary:

The jobholder is responsible for ensuring swap stock availability at the warehouse, by refurbishing and systems transfers of the client’s faulty products returned including smart phones, and other assorted accessories, to restore them to a sellable condition following set quality standards.

  • Carry out refurbishing of the client’s products by work such as painting, repairing, and cleaning.
  • Carry out system repairs and transfer of all repaired products in an accurate and timely manner and keep records of the refurbished products daily.
  • Packaging client products as part of ready-for sale process
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of all products handled by the team using the available inventory systems used by the team (e.g., Dynamics (Electronic Activity Book) B etc.)
  • Keep spare parts inventory, cycle count and reconciliation as well as raise requisitions for depleted stocks.
  • Attain proper waste management practices by disposing and keep records of all obsolete items.
  • Conduct periodic stock count of all client products in the warehouse.
  • Adherence to set Kaizen 6S principles.
  • Meet the daily set targets of refurbished products per day to ensure the required swap stock is availed
  • Education: Basic skills in Inventory Systems (e.g., Dynamics 365 among others) and Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in Inventory systems and Microsoft applications
  • Good attitude towards acquiring new knowledge.
  • Able to work under pressure and tight datelines.
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
  • Good Interpersonal skills.
