Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Hotel Internal Auditor & Accountant to oversee financial integrity, conduct internal audits, and manage accounting functions at Woodmere Grand Hotel & Serviced Apartments. This role ensures compliance with financial regulations, maintains accurate records, and supports overall financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular internal audits of hotel operations, revenue streams, and financial records to identify discrepancies, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.
- Manage and maintain accounting records using QuickBooks, including transactions, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and key performance indicators to support decision-making.
- Prepare audit reports, financial reports, and recommendations for management.
- Monitor internal controls to prevent fraud, financial mismanagement, and inefficiencies.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures to optimize financial performance.
- Oversee payroll processing, statutory deductions, and compliance with labor and tax laws.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in auditing, accounting, and financial management within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification is a plus.
