DONNYTEX APPAREL KENYA EPZ LIMITED is a growing apparel manufacturing company operating within the Export Processing Zone (EPZA) in Athi River. The company is focused on delivering high-quality textile and garment products while maintaining efficient operations and compliance with local labour laws and EPZ regulations.

We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Human Resources Administrative Manager to establish and manage the HR and administrative functions within a factory setup. The successful candidate will play a critical role in building HR systems from the ground up, ensuring compliance, and supporting operational efficiency.

HR Strategy & Setup

  • Establish and implement HR policies, procedures, and systems in line with Kenyan labour laws and EPZ regulations
  • Set up HR structures, processes, and documentation for a factory environment (greenfield or early-stage setup)
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies

Recruitment & Talent Management

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, especially for factory and operational roles
  • Develop workforce plans to support production targets
  • Manage onboarding, orientation, and employee integration

Employee Relations

  • Handle employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary issues, and conflict resolution
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and ensure employee engagement
  • Advise management on labour relations and compliance matters

Compensation & Benefits

  • Oversee payroll processes and compensation structures
  • Ensure proper administration of statutory deductions (PAYE, NSSF, SHA, AHL, etc.)
  • Benchmark and manage employee benefits in line with industry standards

Performance Management

  • Design and implement performance management systems
  • Oversee appraisals, KPIs, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Support management in evaluating employee performance

Administration & Compliance

  • Manage general administrative functions within the factory
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, safety regulations, and EPZ requirements
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reports
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., IHRM, CHRP-K) is an added advantage
  • Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in HR, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing/factory setup
  • Proven experience in setting up HR and administrative functions from scratch (0–1 setup experience)
  • Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and EPZ regulations
  • Demonstrated experience in:
  • Recruitment and workforce planning
  • Compensation and payroll management
  • Performance management systems
  • Employee relations and conflict resolution
