We are looking for a thoughtful and experienced Guest Operations Manager who will oversee the daily running of our lodge, ensuring that every guest feels cared for, and that our team has the support they need to do their best work.

At Angama, operations are about far more than systems and checklists; they are about creating seamless, joyful stays for our guests while looking after the teams who make it all happen. You will play a key role in weaving together the efforts of our Head of Departments: F&B, Guiding, Guest Experience, Kitchen, and Housekeeping into one harmonious rhythm of guest delight.

This role reports to the General Manager.

  • Oversee daily lodge operations, ensuring excellence and consistency across all guest touchpoints.
  • Lead and support the lodge department heads, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Monitor and improve operational systems for efficiency without losing sight of the warmth and joy of service and guest experience.
  • Champion guest feedback, resolving concerns with honesty, courage, and respect.
  • Partner with HR and Training to build and sustain strong, motivated teams.
  • Work with the Chief Marketing Officer and Guest Experience Curator to drive the level of excellence in taking care of guests for which Angama has become known.
  • Support the General Manager in long-term planning, budgeting, and strategic projects.
  • Uphold Angama’s values in every decision, placing people at the heart of operations.

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in senior lodge or hospitality management.
  • Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams in high-end safari or hospitality settings.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for conservation, community, and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
