General Accountant
East African Smart Villages and Rural Mobility Limited (EASVRM)- through its Kisii Smart Community (KSC) initiative and the Songa e-mobility platform , operates in Kisii, Nyamira, Bomet, and Narok Counties. We collaborate with both local and international partners to drive sustainable development in rural and peri-urban communities.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated General Accountant to join our team on a 1-month contract, with the possibility of renewal based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements: income statement, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with accounting principles.
- Support internal and external audits with proper documentation and reporting.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Reconcile supplier and debtor statements.
- Perform any other accounting-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- CPA K Finalist
- OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field plus CPA up to Section 4
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity
