JOB SUMMARY

The Garment Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all garments produced for African Inspired meet the brand’s quality and finishing standards. This role involves inspecting completed items from the workshop, confirming correct stitching, sizing, labeling, and overall workmanship.

The position also plays a critical role in verifying and recording inventory received from the workshop, ensuring that quantities, styles, and sizes match production records. Only garments that meet approved quality standards are cleared for release to stores.

  • Inspect garments for stitching, finishing, stains, loose threads, and defects.
  • Confirm sizing, labeling, and overall garment consistency.
  • Approve or reject items and return pieces that require correction.
  • Record inventory received from the workshop and confirm quantities per style and size.
  • Ensure only quality-approved items are released to stores.
  • Maintain quality control checklists and daily inspection records.
  • Communicate quality issues clearly to the tailoring/production team.
  • Prior experience in garment quality control, tailoring, or production.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency.
  • Knowledge of garment construction and common defects.
  • Ability to accurately record and track inventory.
  • Firm but professional communication with production teams.
  • Able to work on-site in Nairobi.
