Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi County, Kenya, as a Fundraising Manager. The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for developing and executing effective fundraising strategies, building relationships with donors and stakeholders, and identifying new fundraising opportunities. The role also involves preparing proposals, managing donor communications, organizing fundraising events, and maintaining detailed records to support the organization’s mission. Collaboration with team members to meet fundraising goals and contribute to program success is a key aspect of this role.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Communication, Writing, and public speaking to effectively engage with donors and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Philanthropy, Charity work, and fundraising practices to drive successful initiatives.
• Excellent Organization Skills and attention to detail for managing events, donor databases, and fund administration.
• Proven ability to build lasting relationships with donors, partners, and community organizations.
• Proficiency in creating compelling proposals and reports.
• Self-motivation, adaptability, and a passion for supporting children and educational initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Development Studies, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in fundraising, donor engagement, or a related role is an advantage.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and results-driven fundraising professional to play a key role in advancing our mission of empowering children living in poverty through education and support. The successful candidate will lead grant writing, partnerships development, in-kind donation appeals, and major fundraising events, with a clear goal of raising at least 15% of the organization’s annual expense budget locally.
