Position Summary

The Finance Intern will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with financial procedures. The intern will gain hands-on experience in accounting operations, financial reporting, and audit preparation. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or student pursuing a career in finance, accounting, or economics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure they are posted to the correct ledger accounts.
• Assist in preparing, tracking, and reconciling customer and supplier invoices and payments.
• Reconcile company bank statements with internal financial records.
• Maintain orderly filing of financial documents and records to ensure accessibility and compliance.
• Assist in compiling required documentation for both internal and external audits.
• Assist in maintaining and regularly update the supplier database with accurate information.
• Ensure proper archiving and storage of all financial/accounting documents.
• Support finance team with additional assignments and administrative tasks related to finance and operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• CPA qualification (or in progress) is an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Experience or familiarity with Odoo accounting software is a plus.
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Work Conditions:

• Office-based role.
• Internship stipend provided.
