The overall purpose of this job is

  • Financial Management and strategy for the organization – leading the financial planning process.
  • Management Accounting strategy – costing and tail management
  • Responsibility over overall procurement strategy and policies
  • Administration and legal compliance

Reporting

Reporting to the Managing Director, the job holder will be responsible for the following;

  • Consolidated financial plan based on business plan, annual, 3-year and 5-year operational plans. Business financing plan.
  • Consolidated KPIs for the organization as part of management accounting systems and tail management. KPIs reporting templates and systems for the organization.
  • Sound financial management system with appropriate controls,
  • Consolidated year-end accounts, monthly income statements, cash-flow, balance sheet, capital expenditure
  • Accounts receivables and accounts payables plan for the organization and age analysis reports for the same.
  • Asset register for the organization, insurance of assets
  • Procurement policy and plan, including SOPs
  • Legal compliance documentation and licenses including company registration, tax compliance and reporting.
  • Financial investment decisions based on objective analysis.
  • Any other duties related to the roles as may be prescribed by senior management.

Academic Qualifications Education, Knowledge & Experience

  • Professional accounts certification, CPA (K);
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Business Administration – Accounting, Finance option or a related discipline is an added advantage.

Work Experience

  • At least 5 years’ previous experience in similar / related functions in Accounts and Finance,
  • Good working knowledge of accounting system is required
  • Good computer skills with advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel)
  • Ability to demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills
