About the Role

We are seeking a resourceful, data-driven, and results-oriented E-Commerce Officer to lead the growth of Sayona’s online sales across multiple platforms. This role is central to driving performance on our website, WhatsApp shop, Jumia, Kilimall, Glovo, Jiji, and other e-commerce channels, ensuring a seamless customer journey from browsing to delivery.

If you are passionate about online retail, skilled in managing digital storefronts, and thrive in fast-paced environments where operations meet customer experience, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize daily operations of all e-commerce platforms including product listings, pricing, and promotions.
  • Oversee end-to-end order fulfillment: processing, tracking, coordination with logistics teams, and timely customer delivery.
  • Monitor platform performance, sales trends, and customer behavior to identify growth opportunities.
  • Run product-focused campaigns, discounts, and platform promotions to maximize conversions.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and feedback across all digital sales touchpoints.
  • Ensure stock visibility and accuracy across platforms to prevent overselling or delays.
  • Maintain consistent branding, messaging, and customer experience across platforms.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key e-commerce KPIs including sales, conversion rates, repeat purchases, and fulfillment performance.
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking and marketplace audits to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Implement continuous improvement practices using the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle.
  • Provide weekly activity updates and monthly performance reports to management.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business, E-Commerce, IT, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years managing e-commerce platforms (Jumia, Kilimall, Shopify/WordPress, Glovo, etc.). FMCG or retail experience is an advantage.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of marketplace dashboards, SEO for e-commerce, product optimization, analytics tools, and fulfillment workflows.
  • Personality: Detail-oriented, customer-focused, and commercially minded – thrives on turning traffic into satisfied repeat customers.
  • Drive: Self-motivated, target-oriented, and passionate about growing online revenue streams.
