Domestic Appliance Service Engineer Job
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Home Appliances Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of home appliances, ensuring optimal functionality and customer satisfaction. This role requires technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnosis and Repair:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with home appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers.
- Perform repairs on malfunctioning appliances, including replacing faulty parts and conducting calibrations.
Maintenance Services:
- Provide routine maintenance services to ensure appliances operate efficiently.
- Educate customers on proper care and maintenance of their appliances to prevent future issues.
Installation:
- Install new appliances and ensure they are connected properly, including water and electrical connections.
- Test appliances post-installation to confirm proper functionality.
Customer Service:
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnostic findings and repair options.
- Deliver high-quality service with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent on repairs.
- Document customer interactions and service calls to ensure continuity and quality of service.
Inventory Management:
- Keep track of spare parts and tools, ensuring an adequate supply for repairs and maintenance.
- Order additional parts when necessary.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols while handling appliances and tools.
- Stay informed about safety regulations and manufacturers’ guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in appliance repair is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as an appliance technician or in a similar role is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
