Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Communications and Marketing team, the interns will:

  • Design posters, flyers, banners and other graphic materials for both print and digital use.
  • Capture, edit and organize photos and videos from Institute events and trainings, including supporting live-streaming or video coverage of key events as required.
  • Produce short video clips, reels and promotional content for campaigns and online publishing
  • Assist in planning and executing digital marketing strategies
  • Assist in managing and updating the Institute’s social media platforms with engaging content
  • Monitor digital campaign analytics (engagement, reach, impressions, etc.) and prepare
    summary reports
  • Assist in ensuring brand consistency across all digital communication materials
  • Maintain an organized digital archive/library of all photo and video content.
  • Develop creative concepts, contribute to brainstorming sessions, and assist in creating
    storyboards for visual storytelling, campaign messaging, and content innovation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria

  • Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Film & Media Studies, Photography, Communication, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Must be a Kenyan citizen aged 30 years or below.
  • Must be available for a full-time internship for a period of six (6) months.
  • Portfolio of past work (designs, photography, videography or digital content) is mandatory.

Desired Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere
    Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Canva, etc).
  • Practical experience in photography and videography, including use of DSLR cameras.
  • Knowledge of graphic design and ability to produce visually compelling content.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content management tools (e.g., Meta Business
    Suite, Buffer, Hootsuite).
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing metrics and content analytics.
  • Strong visual storytelling skills, creativity and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively, manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
