We are looking for a tech-savvy, creative, and data-oriented Digital Marketing & Content Associate to manage OUK’s digital presence across Kenya. You will be responsible for adapting global marketing campaigns to resonate with Kenyan students, managing digital channels, running local influencer collaborations, and driving online student engagement. This is an exciting role for a digital native with a passion for localized storytelling and marketing effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Localized Content Management:
- Adapt and publish social media content that speaks directly to the Kenyan youth, ensuring tone, visuals, and language align with local trends.
Influencer & Student Collaborations:
- Identify and collaborate with micro-influencers, student creators, and brand ambassadors to promote campaigns and foster community engagement.
Performance Marketing Support:
- Assist with the planning, execution, and reporting of local paid media campaigns across platforms like Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and Google.
Digital Communications:
- Create and manage localized email newsletters, WhatsApp communications, and other student-facing messaging channels.
Analytics & Reporting:
- Monitor digital performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversions, etc.), analyze campaign success, and present weekly insights to the central marketing team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media Studies, Digital Communications, or related fields.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in digital or social media marketing within the Kenyan market.
- Strong understanding of platforms such as Meta Ads, Google Ads, Canva, Mailchimp, and Google Analytics.
- Excellent content writing, cultural fluency, and digital storytelling skills tailored for Kenyan youth.
- Basic video editing skills and experience creating mobile-first content (Reels, Stories, TikTok, etc.) are a strong advantage.
