Credit Recoveries Intern Job

Job Summary:

To support the Repayments, Collections & Recoveries team in the follow-up and recovery of delinquent accounts, documentation of collection efforts, and management of non-performing loans while maintaining professionalism and compliance with internal and regulatory policies. Responsibilities:

• Assist in tracking and updating arrears and non-performing loan accounts.
• Make follow-up calls and send reminders to delinquent customers.
• Support in preparing demand letters and forwarding files to legal or external collectors.
• Maintain and update daily records of recovery efforts and customer commitments.
• Liaise with clients to understand repayment challenges and recommend solutions.
• Support the documentation and filing of recovery correspondences.
• Assist in preparing weekly and monthly recovery reports.
• Help maintain organized records of auction, legal, or negotiated settlements.
• Track payments and follow through on broken promises to pay (PTPs).
• Support in coordinating with auctioneers, external debt collectors, or tracing agents.
• Perform any other administrative or operational support tasks assigned by the Recoveries Officer.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Banking from a recognized institution or a related field.
• At least 1 year working experience in a credit recovery role in the financial industry.
• Team player.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and excellent record-keeping ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong follow-through and time management skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
