Our client, a growing FMCG distributor specializing in alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages based in Kericho is seeking a Counter Sales Representative to manage walk-in clients, support distribution operations, process sales, manage stock and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be sales-driven, detail-oriented and proactive, capable of supporting both in-person sales and customer inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to walk-in customers, provide product recommendations, and process sales transactions.
- Support distribution operations to clients as needed.
- Maintain an attractive and organized display of alcoholic and beverage products.
- Handle cash and digital payments accurately, issuing receipts for every sale.
- Provide timely support to customers via phone, WhatsApp, or email regarding orders, inquiries, or complaints.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize daily sales revenue.
- Track stock levels, report shortages, and assist in inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies on responsible alcohol sales.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming sales counter.
- Build, maintain and grow a sustainable customer database.
- Provide daily sales and customer service reports to management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- At least 1 year experience in counter sales, retail, FMCG distribution, or customer support.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle cash and record sales accurately.
- Energetic, honest and results-oriented.
- Must reside in Kericho Town or nearby areas.
- Experience handling alcohol sales or beverages is an added advantage.
