Role Summary
The Country CEO will spearhead the country operation, driving brand establishment and business growth in one of Africa’s most competitive and rapidly developing beverage markets.
Key Responsibilities
Growth & Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for launching and scaling Beverages , and alternative beverage brands.
- Identify and capitalize on emerging market trends and untapped opportunities to ensure competitive advantage.
Brand Building
- Create impactful marketing and brand-building initiatives to quickly establish strong brand recall and preference for the target consumers.
- Drive innovative consumer engagement and visibility campaigns across traditional and digital media.
Leadership & Team Building
- Build, lead, and inspire a multidisciplinary team to exceed aggressive growth targets.
- Foster a performance-driven culture centered on entrepreneurship, accountability, and calculated risk-taking.
P&L Management
- Oversee all financial, commercial, and operational aspects, ensuring robust P&L management and delivering consistent, profitable growth.
- Optimize resource allocation and cost structures while scaling business operations.
Market Expansion
- Forge strategic partnerships and alliances with key stakeholders in the local country value chain, including distributors, retailers, regulators, and suppliers.
- Expand distribution networks, innovating route-to-market models tailored to local ecosystem.
Innovation & Risk
- Champion new product development and drive rapid innovation cycles to stay ahead of market and consumer trends.
- Demonstrate a high degree of risk appetite, continuously challenging the status quo to unlock breakthrough growth.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Engineering / Business Administration
- Experience: Successful leadership experience (12–20 years) in marketing, sales, and/or finance roles within FMCG, beverages, or related sectors.
- Pedigree: Preferably from top-tier global or regional organizations, with a proven track record in building and scaling brands in emerging or developing markets.
