We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying, pursuing, and closing strategic business opportunities. The individual will work closely and report to the General Manager Kenya, and or/ Director of BD to develop and execute strategies that drive revenue growth and build strong relationships with key partners and clients.

Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities that align with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Develop and execute a business development plan to target potential clients and partners across multiple sectors in Kenya.
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including financial institutions, employers, employees and other industry players.
- Lead the negotiation and closing of deals, contracts, and partnerships, ensuring favourable terms for the company.
- Ensure there is a clear process and execution of lead management and pipeline opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and market developments to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Actively engage in sharing product feedback with Tech team and management
- Monitor and analyse key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of business development initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team on business development activities, pipeline status, and market insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in B2B business development, sales, or related roles within the financial services or technology sector.
- Strong understanding of financial wellness, fin tech trends, and the broader financial services industry.
- Demonstrated success in identifying, negotiating, and closing strategic partnerships and deals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to analyse data and market trends to drive informed business decisions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
