As a Business Development Manager at Fuzu, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth by building partnerships with employers and selling Fuzu’s two core service lines – the Fuzu Platform (Pro) and Fuzu Elite recruitment services. This role is essential in helping Kenyan businesses attract, assess and hire the right talent through AI-powered technology and best-in-class recruitment expertise.

You will manage the full sales cycle – from prospecting and qualifying leads, to conducting consultative needs assessments, designing talent acquisition solutions, and closing deals. Your focus will be on generating value for clients through a tailored mix of SaaS-based self-service hiring (Fuzu Pro) and hands-on recruitment services (Fuzu Elite), depending on their needs and maturity.

Sales and Client Acquisition

  • Identify, prospect and engage with HR and business decision-makers across diverse industries in Kenya.
  • Conduct consultative discovery sessions to understand clients’ talent acquisition challenges and map them to Fuzu solutions.
  • Craft and deliver compelling sales proposals integrating Fuzu Pro and/or Fuzu Elite based on client needs, hiring frequency and internal capacity.
  • Manage the full sales cycle including proposal writing, pricing negotiation, closing, and onboarding coordination.

Solution Design and Product Expertise

  • Recommend the right product mix (Fuzu Pro vs. Fuzu Elite) based on organization size, hiring capability, budget and urgency.
  • Leverage platform analytics, case studies, and ROI benchmarks to demonstrate business value.
  • Coordinate with the Talent Delivery team for Elite roles and with the Platform Success team for Pro accounts.

Market and Client Insights

  • Monitor talent acquisition trends, competitor offerings and market needs to inform go-to-market strategies.
  • Gather and document client feedback to support product innovation and improve service delivery.

Client Relationship Management

  • Develop long-term partnerships by delivering ongoing value and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Act as the trusted advisor and first point of contact for strategic clients in Kenya.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of sales experience in B2B, SaaS, recruitment, or HR tech – ideally in East Africa.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with experience in consultative selling.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working with SMEs and larger enterprises across Kenya.
  • Understanding of how to position self-service tools (like Fuzu Pro) versus managed services (Fuzu Elite).
  • Exposure to psychometric and aptitude testing in recruitment is a plus
