The Business Analyst acts as the critical link between business stakeholders and technology teams. This role is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting requirements; ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical solutions; and supporting the delivery of systems, integrations, and process improvements. The Business Analyst partners closely with product owners, developers, QA, architects, and business users to ensure technology initiatives are implemented successfully.

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to define solution designs, data flows, and system integrations.
  • Support software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning.
  • Partner with QA and business stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and support testing (functional, integration, and UAT).
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement walkthroughs to drive alignment.
  • Manage requirement traceability and ensure delivered solutions meet business needs.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, automation use cases, and technology enablers.
  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and mutual understanding.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Agile BA certification are desirable.
  • Technical certifications (e.g., cloud platforms, SQL, API integration, data analysis tools) are an added advantage.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in business analysis, including requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder management
  • Proficiency in process modeling (e.g., BPMN, UML, use cases, swimlanes)
  • Solid understanding of technology concepts (APIs, integrations, databases, data flows, cloud systems)
  • Experience with data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Excel, BI platforms) Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate between technical and business language.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Desirable Skills

  • Exposure to enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, financial, or supply chain systems).
  • Experience in API documentation and integration projects.
  • Background in data governance, security, or compliance requirements.
  • Domain knowledge in the relevant industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, e-commerce).
  • Business analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA).
