Our client, a leading and fast-paced Dental Clinic with multiple branches in Nairobi and Mombasa, is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and hands-on Biomedical Engineer to join their technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, calibration, repair, and installation of dental and biomedical equipment across the clinic branches to ensure smooth and safe operations.

Location: Nairobi | Salary: Ksh. 50,000 – 60,000 (gross)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, inspect, maintain, and repair dental and biomedical equipment (e.g., dental chairs, autoclaves, digital X-ray machines, suction units, sterilizers, compressors, etc.).
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance as per the equipment manufacturer’s schedule and clinic protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment history.
- Troubleshoot and respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and breakdowns.
- Assist in procurement, installation, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Provide technical support and training to clinical and administrative staff regarding proper equipment usage.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and infection control protocols.
- Liaise with suppliers and service contractors for equipment under warranty or external servicing.
- Conduct periodic audits of equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a medical facility.
- Knowledge of service dental equipment eg. Cadcam, Dental Chairs & X – Ray machines is a
MUST.
- Strong knowledge of dental and medical equipment and technologies.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and medical standards (KEBS, MOH, etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel between branches as required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
