Audio Technician/ Officer II Job

AUDIO TECHNICIAN/OFFICER II – CASB 10 (JOB GROUP J)

  • Basic Salary Kshs. – 33,900
  • House Allowance – 7,500
  • Commuter Allowance – 4,000
  • Leave Allowance – 4,000 (Payable once in a Year)
  • Mortgage & Car Loan – As per SRC guidelines

 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in routine testing of Audio-visual recording equipment in the Chamber and Committee rooms to ensure smooth running of operations;
  • Assist in keeping digital recorders in a well-maintained and charged condition;
  • Assist in recording County Assembly proceedings of the Plenary and Committees for accurate information capturing;
  • Assist in testing and operating the Public Address system, before and after sessions begin, respectively;
  • Assist in periodical maintenance of Audio recording systems in the Chamber and Committee rooms to ensure equipment is functional; and
  • Assist in providing audio recording services to Assembly Committees during field work, site visits and public hearings to provide accurate information for decision support.

Requirements for Appointment

  • Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Television or Radio production, Computer Science, Mass Communication, Audio Engineering, Sound Technology, or its equivalent qualification from a recognised institution; and
  • Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognised institution.
