Role Summary

The role of the Assistant Teacher is to provide professional support to the Teacher in facilitating continuous implementation of IB philosophies in addition to planning for lessons for students in the assigned classes, IB documentation and to ensure inquiry-based learning.

The requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • P1 Teaching Diploma/KNEC ECD Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Education/Bachelor’s degree with PGCE.
  • 3-4 years of classroom experience in an international school.
  • TSC Certificate.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multicultural collaborative team and environment.
  • Be conversant with the use of technology as a teaching and learning tool.
  • Teachers Service Commission (TSC) registration certificate.
  • Certificate of good conduct.
