IT Jobs. Signvrse Jobs

We’re looking for a 3D Animator who can help us build and maintain the animation infrastructure that powers this. You’ll be working on pipelines that process sign language gestures, retarget motion capture data across different character systems, and deliver animations that need to be both linguistically accurate and feel natural.

You’ll join our technical team, working on problems at the intersection of animation, accessibility technology, and web-based rendering. As an integral part of the team, you’ll collaborate with our engineers, sign language experts, and our deaf community partners to build animation systems that real people depend on to communicate every day.

  • You’re comfortable living in keyframes. You understand timing, easing curves, and how to make movement feel human. You can spot when something’s off in an animation and know which keyframes to adjust.
  • You think in pipelines, not just individual animations. You’ve built or worked in systems where animations flow from capture to processing to delivery. You understand batch processing, file conversions, and 3D workflow automations.
  • Rigging is your thing. You understand skeletal hierarchies, bone weighting, IK/FK, and how to build character rigs that actually work. Bonus points if you’ve done retargeting between different skeleton systems.
  • You’re tool-agnostic. Whether it’s Blender, Maya, MotionBuilder, or something else – you focus on the outcome, not the software.
  • You can code a little (or want to learn). We work with web technologies and cloud systems. If you know some JavaScript, Python, or Three.js, that’s awesome. If not but you’re curious about the web, we can work with that. Skills are transferable.
  • You care about the “why.” Understanding that these animations help real people communicate makes you want to get the details right.

What would be amazing (but not required):

  • Experience with motion capture cleanup
  • Facial animation and blend shapes
  • Game dev or real-time rendering background
  • Any exposure to web development
  • Python scripting for automation
