JOB DESCRIPTION

The Water Treatment Plant Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the plant’s water purification, filtration, and waste water treatment systems to ensure reliable supply of process water that meets production and regulatory quality standards. The role ensures consistent plant operations, compliance with environmental requirements, and efficient use of resources.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Water Technology, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent technical field.
  • Minimum of 4 years in operation and maintenance of industrial water treatment and wastewater systems, preferably in a food or beverage manufacturing plant.
  • Proficiency in operation of RO systems, sand and carbon filters, softeners, and dosing systems.
  • Basic understanding of PLC-based control systems and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of water chemistry, treatment processes, and analytical testing. Familiarity with environmental compliance requirements (NEMA, KEBS).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Commitment to hygiene, safety, and sustainability standards.
