Role Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer Windows/Linux servers, databases, and core applications.
- Monitor and maintain the health of all core systems, servers and applications.
- Respond to and resolve escalations during assigned shifts.
- Support with network/system outages escalations to service providers and tracking of updates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents affecting service availability or performance.
- Coordinate resolution efforts with internal software developers, network engineers, and external vendors.
- Recommend and implement improvements to increase system performance, resilience, and efficiency.
- Participate in the evaluation and rollout of new tools, systems, or upgrades.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in troubleshooting and best practices.
Academic Qualifications:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Telecommunication, or related discipline.
Key Competencies required for the role:
- Experience as a Senior and Network Administrator with at least 5 years experience.
- At least 2-3 years experience in Software development preferably in PHP framework.
- Linux / UNIX administration.
- Database Administration (MySQL,SQLite, Postgres).
- Experience in developing under the following languages and frameworks: PHP, Drupal, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, WordPress, Twig, REST and JSON.
- Advanced networking (firewalls, routers, IP management).
