Our client is an Internet Service Provider in Kenya, offering high-speed fiber wireless internet solutions. They are currently seeking a Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our wireless and Fiber network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, with experience in both wireless and Fiber technologies. They will work closely with other teams to ensure the highest level of network performance and reliability.

  • Design, implement, and maintain wireless and Fiber network infrastructure.
  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, and access points.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure optimal operation.
  • Perform regular network maintenance and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with other teams to address network issues and provide technical support.
  • Implement security measures to protect network integrity and data.
  • Maintain documentation of network configurations and changes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in network technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Huawei will be an added advantage
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VLAN, OSPF, BGP).
  • Experience with wireless networking (e.g., Wi-Fi, PtP and PtMP) and Fiber optic technologies.
  • Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting network devices.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably with an ISP.
  • Experience with network design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with wireless and Fiber technologies
  • Strong knowledge of network architecture and protocols.
  • Proficient in using network monitoring and management tools.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • Familiarity with network security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
  • Must be proficient with Cambium products and management tools,
  • Knowledge in NMS platform
