Licensed Engineers at ALS
Licensed Engineers ole at ALS. Responsible for overseeing engineering operations, maintaining technical standards, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry regulations. Requires a relevant engineering degree, professional licensing, and practical industry experience. The role is based in Nairobi with duties performed on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess defects on aircraft, troubleshoot, rectify, and certify for the timely release of aircraft to maintain ALS schedule integrity.
- Carry out scheduled maintenance checks and service bulletins and certify for the safe and timely release of aircraft within planned downtime for continued airworthiness.
- Carry out inspection, repair, replacement, overhaul, modification, and testing of aircraft components/systems and certify for optimal turnaround time to ensure the continuous availability of a serviceable ALS fleet.
- Carry out and certify maintenance on cabin utilities for utmost customer satisfaction and comfort.
- Identify and requisition the required parts.
- Carry out and certify duplicate inspections on safety-critical systems of the aircraft and engines to ensure system integrity.
- Report incidents/accident occurrences as per ALS procedures.
- Ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded accurately and signed for in order to maintain correct and up-to-date aircraft history/data.
- Adhere to ALS safety, health, and environmental policy.
Qualifications
- KCSE Mean Grade of C+ and above.
- Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering.
- Relevant aircraft maintenance experience will be an added advantage.
- Ability and willingness to work at outstations.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices, systems and safety procedures.
- Excellent troubleshooting, technical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and strong commitment to aviation safety and airworthiness.
