Internal Medicine Consultant Job AIC Kijabe Hospital
Medical Jobs. AIC Kijabe Hospital Jobs. Responsible for diagnosing and managing adult medical conditions, providing specialised patient care, supervising clinical teams, and supporting quality healthcare services. Requires a relevant medical qualification, specialist training in Internal Medicine, and professional registration, with strong clinical, diagnostic, patient care, and leadership skills. The role is based in Kijabe, Kenya, with duties performed on-site.
Reporting to the HEAD OF INTERNAL MEDICINE DEPARTMENT.
Purpose: To glorify God through the provision of excellent clinical care to all inpatient medical patients.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of Internal Medicine conditions
- Develop individualized diagnostic tests and treatment plans
- To perform diagnostic & therapeutic procedures pertinent to the care of these patients
- Monitor and follow up on patient progress and treatment effectiveness
- To supervise and coordinate care with nurses, specialists and other healthcare staff
- Supervise, mentor and teach residents, interns and students
- Lead bedside teaching rounds and participate in case discussions and confere
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB)
- Masters Degree in Internal Medicine (MMed Internal Medicine)
- Registered with the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board
- Possess a valid private practicing License
- Must be capable of functioning effectively both as a team player and a team leader
