Key Duties and Responsibilities
- The duties and responsibilities shall include but are not limited to:
- Manage the end-to-end operations of the LMS (Moodle/Canvas/Blackboard), including course provisioning, user management, and plugin integration.
- Collaborate with faculty to design SCORM/xAPI compliant content, ensuring all digital materials meet Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1).
- Deploy AI-driven helpdesk bots to handle routine LMS queries, and manage Tier 2/3 technical support for live classes.
- Moderate forums and implement gamification strategies (badges, leaderboards) to increase learner engagement.
- Pursue professional development and implement innovative strategies to enhance online education.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
- For appointment to this grade, one MUST have:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Business IT or a related field from an accredited and recognized University is required.
- Deep expertise in Moodle, Canvas, or Blackboard is necessary.
- Competence is necessary in eLearning Standards including SCORM, xAPI (Tin Can), and LTI integrations.
- A balance is required between team and individual responsibilities, exhibiting objectivity and openness to others’ views.
- Strong empathy, customer service orientation, and instructional design basics are essential.
For appointment to this grade, one MUST have:
Must Have
- Relevant Professional Certifications including:
- Moodle Educator Certificate (MEC) qualification OR Blackboard Certified Specialist qualification.
- ITIL 4 Foundation qualification for Service Management.
- CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies) qualification.
- Google UX Design Professional Certificate qualification.
