As part of our continued growth, we are inviting applications for the role of Debt Recovery Agent. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing diverse debt portfolios, driving recovery strategies, and strengthening client relationships in line with our commitment to excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree or diploma in business, Accounts, Finance or related field.
• Professional Credit or Debt recovery qualifications a plus.
• Minimum of two (2) years practical experience with proven result-oriented track record in Debt Collection.
• Honest and with high integrity.

SKILLS

• Strong communication and negotiation skills to build rapport and secure commitments.
• Emotional intelligence to handle sensitive conversations without escalating conflict.
• Organizational discipline for tracking multiple accounts and deadlines.
• Legal awareness of debt collection regulations in Kenya and internationally.
• MS Office.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proactively contacting customers with overdue accounts via phone, email, and formal letters to negotiate settlement.
• Maintaining meticulous records of all collection activities, communications, and customer interactions.
• Monitoring account statuses and strategically escalating complex cases to the appropriate level when necessary.
• Ensuring strict adherence to all national laws, regulations, and internal company policies governing debt collection practices.
• Professionally and empathetically resolving customer complaints and disputes related to their accounts.
• Conduct a systematic site visit schedule on individuals and Businesses to ascertain existence and condition, delivery of demand notices and follow up on recovery.
• Attend to customer queries/complaints with utmost care/service, review repayment problems and recommend way forward.
• Provide accurate and timely reports highlighting portfolio performance/movement and high-risk loan accounts with recommendations for litigation.
