Claims Analyst – Injury at Definite Assurance

Claims Analyst – Injury role at Definite Assurance, managing injury claims and supporting claims resolution. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Law, or related field with a Diploma in Insurance (AIIK) and 3+ years’ experience in a busy claims environment, preferably handling injury and third-party claims. Full-time, on-site role.

Overall Purpose of the Role

To support the effective management and timely processing of injury claims through appropriate liability assessment, quantum evaluation, claims reserving, policy interpretation, negotiation, and coordination with Legal and Investigations teams to facilitate fair and efficient claims resolution.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Law, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Diploma in Insurance (AIIK) or equivalent.
• At least three (3) years’ experience in a busy claims environment, preferably handling injury and third-party claims.
• Practical experience in injury claims management, liability assessment, quantum evaluation, and legal claims handling.
• Good understanding of policy interpretation, claims reserving, negotiation, and settlement processes.
• Basic understanding of legal procedures and management of claims involving advocates and other legal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and report writing skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with Legal, Investigations, Underwriting, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience handling motor injury and third-party property damage claims will be an added advantage.
