Church Choir Coordinators Job MEMA Awards
Looking for a media job in Kenya? MEMA Awards is recruiting Church Choir Coordinators. It requires expertise in choir mobilization, performance scheduling, and managing relations between regional vocal groups and the awards committee.
Job Purpose
MEMA Awards is expanding its team and seeking passionate, creative, and impact-driven professionals, agencies, and freelancers to help build the future of the creative industry across East and Central Africa. As a general team member or partner, you will contribute your specialized skills toward empowering African creatives, protecting artist rights, and delivering innovative, industry-changing entertainment and cultural projects.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on your specific area of expertise, your responsibilities will include one or more of the following functional areas:
- Brand & Growth Activation: Drive MEMA’s regional presence through strategic marketing, public relations, media outreach, or active social media community management.
- Commercial & Partnerships: Identify, pitch to, and secure corporate sponsorships, investments, and strategic alliances to fuel the platform’s revenue and growth.
- Content & Creative Production: Conceptualize and produce high-quality visual or graphic assets (photography, videography, digital designs) that align with MEMA’s brand identity.
- Event & Operational Excellence: Plan, coordinate, and execute event logistics, vendor management, and VIP protocol to ensure seamless delivery of live and recorded award ceremonies.
- Musical & Coordination Leadership: Provide technical musical direction, coordinate live performances, or manage relationships with participating church choirs and vocal groups.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, external stakeholders, and regional artists to execute project milestones on time.
Key Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for individuals or agencies who meet the following criteria:
- Professional Background: Proven experience in any of our open tracks: Marketing, PR, Sales, Graphic Design, Photography, Event Management, Protocol, or Music Direction.
- Industry Passion: A strong passion for the creative arts, music industry, or cultural development sectors, with an understanding of the East and Central African creative landscape.
- Execution Skills: Strong portfolio (for creatives) or a proven track record of successful projects, campaigns, or sales closures (for business/operational roles).

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work dynamically under pressure and meet tight event timelines.
- A collaborative mindset suited for working with diverse talents, freelancers, and corporate partners.
