Our Client is seeking to recruit a talented, passionate, and experienced Chef to join our prestigious high-end bar, restaurant, and lounge in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining exceptional food standards, and contributing to an outstanding dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Curate elevated, seasonally appropriate menus
• Prepare and present high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
• Plan and execute menu items while ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
• Minimize food wastage and ensure efficient use of kitchen resources.
• Work closely with management to develop new menu offerings and seasonal specials.
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen operations during service hours.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Culinary Arts, Food Production, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ work experience with at least 3 years as a Chef in a reputable restaurant, lounge, hotel, or hospitality establishment.
• Experience working in a high-end dining environment will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and kitchen management.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
