CSS Hosts Free Public Speaking & Networking Forum

“I missed out on a top job opportunity because of poor communication skills.” This is what John shared at the last Speak with Confidence Networking Forum.

The forum saw attendance from both graduates –from the Speak with Confidence Training, and guest seeking to build their confidence while presenting.

A few of the alumni shared their journey through the Speak with Confidence Training.

This is what Monicah had to say “…since we graduated, I have made a number of presentations. I am confident, I know how to align my points, and I am in control of my body language. After the most recent presentation, my boss sent me an email congratulating me on a great presentation.”

Afterward, we had presentations from some of the alumni. The audience shared their views and feedback on the presentations in an engaging session.

Finally, the guests also had a chance to make presentations and get a feel of the Speak with Confidence Training.

I spoke to a few of the attendees after the forum, here is what they had to say;

“I came with a friend, he’s been through the class. I knew him before and he’s an introvert who hated presentations. Lately, and even today, I have seen him present and he looks like a pro… I would like to get to where he is.” Mercy.

“I always thought there are people who are born with the ability for public speaking. I’m glad to see it’s a skill we can all build on. I can’t wait to start the journey.” Joseph.

“I have turned down several promotions at work because I don’t like doing presentations. I’ve heard her (Monicah) share her journey, and if it’s possible for her, I can do it too.” Grace
