3 Free Ways To Market And Grow Your Company

By, Ruoro Kairu

The other day, I was looking up a few videos online. I noticed an advertisement piece that had played on every single video. I ended up looking for the product and looking up what they deal in. The aim of the advertisement was to lead me to the website, and it had been successful at doing that.

No matter how good your product or service is, without effective marketing, very few people will know about your existence.

Large brands and organizations have the ability to market their products on billboards, in media, and through digital means. However, as a startup or an SME, you may not have the resources to carry out such a capacity of branding and advertising.

How then do you ensure your existing and potential customers get to know about your product? How do you get the public to notice your service and how it can help fix their needs? And how can you achieve all this without incurring the cost?

Here are a few free ways you can use to market your brand.

1. Get interviewed on TV or Radio

Recently, our CEO was invited for an interview at K24. He was to discuss the importance of synergy and teamwork at the workplace.

Every day, most local and international TV and radio stations hold talk shows. They are always on the lookout for new ways to edify their audience.

You can plug in to satisfy this need by getting interviewed.

When interviewed, you’ll be exposed to a new audience who will not only be potential customers for your products and services but will also trust your product as they have heard it from a source they are familiar with.

How do you get invited for an interview? When you’re a growing business, you have to pitch to these shows. Many business people go wrong in the pitch because they start off with who they are and what they do. The focus of your interview pitch should be how you can benefit the interviewer and their audience.

For instance, if you are in the stock trade market, you can offer valuable insight to the audience in matters trading stocks.

2. Leverage on large audiences

Your product or service is out to solve a particular need. As such, your audience has a unifying factor.

Essentially, this means it is easy to find them in groups.

You can use large audiences such as conventions and conferences to appeal to the audience.

The approach to being invited to speak at a conference is similar to that of interviews. Show the organizers what benefit you’ll offer to the audience.

When given a chance to speak at a conference, do not start by pitching your product or service, start by informing the audience and helping them address a need. Later, you can introduce your product or service.

3. Create in-depth content

The power of great and in-depth content cannot be overstated. With informative and educative content, readers will not only be willing to read and try your service, but they will also be more likely to share the content with their friends and networks.

With great content, you’ll have people sharing and spreading the news about your product through word of mouth.

As an entrepreneur, you should ensure you create informative content that will appeal to the readers.
