Specialist Pediatrician Job Isiolo CPSB
PART A: UNIVERSAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS
All applicants must meet the following baseline public service and statutory requirements:
Academic Qualification
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery MBChB or equivalent degree from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council KMPDC.
Licensing and Registration:
- Current valid registration certificate.
- Current valid specialist practising license issued by KMPDC.
Applicants must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
Applicants must provide valid clearances from:
- Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission EACC
- Directorate of Criminal Investigations DCI – Certificate of Good Conduct
- Kenya Revenue Authority KRA
- Higher Education Loans Board HELB
- Credit Reference Bureau CRB
Job Summary: Deliver specialised medical care to infants, children and adolescents. Oversee pediatric wards, NBU and child health programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized clinical care to pediatric inpatients and outpatients.
- Manage neonates in NBU, NICU and pediatric emergencies.
- Conduct specialized clinics: Child development, Asthma, Pediatric HIV, etc.
- Lead childhood immunization, nutrition and preventive health initiatives.
- Provide expert consultation on all pediatric cases.
- Supervise and train pediatric nurses, medical officers and interns.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master of Medicine (MMed) in Paediatrics and Child Health or equivalent post-graduate qualification recognized by KMPDC.
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience with active clinical practice in Paediatrics.

- Fulfill the requirement of chapter (6) six of the constitution of Kenya listed in part A.
- Medical doctors should clearly apply for the post as indicated in the advertisement
