Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon Job Isiolo CPSB
PART A: UNIVERSAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS
All applicants must meet the following baseline public service and statutory requirements:
Academic Qualification
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery MBChB or equivalent degree from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council KMPDC.
Licensing and Registration:
- Current valid registration certificate.
- Current valid specialist practising license issued by KMPDC.
Applicants must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
Applicants must provide valid clearances from:
- Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission EACC
- Directorate of Criminal Investigations DCI – Certificate of Good Conduct
- Kenya Revenue Authority KRA
- Higher Education Loans Board HELB
- Credit Reference Bureau CRB
- Job Summary: Specialise in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles, with focus on trauma and reconstructive surgery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex orthopaedic surgeries including trauma reconstruction and joint replacements.
- Manage emergency trauma cases, fractures and musculoskeletal injuries.
- Run orthopaedic outpatient clinic and lead rehabilitative care team.
- Provide specialist consultation to other medical departments.
- Mentor and supervise junior medical staff and plaster technicians.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master of Medicine (MMed) in Orthopaedic Surgery or equivalent post-graduate qualification recognized by KMPDC.
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience with active clinical practice in Orthopaedic Surgery.

- Copy of Pharmacist from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board Registration Certificate and Current Practicing License.
- Fulfill the requirement of chapter (6) six of the constitution of Kenya listed in part A.
- Medical doctors should clearly apply for the post as indicated in the advertisement
