Senior Barista Job Java House Narok, Kenya

Key Responsibilities

• Oversees all branch operations with a special focus on the barista counter.
• Coordinates and supervises production and service of quality beverages and serve fresh bakery.
• Coordinates training at the branch level on achieving Coffee Excellence and consistency among all the branch staff.
• In charge of trainee baristas at branch level, through regular trainings and assessments/evaluations.
• Advices management on counter equipment performance and replacement need.
• Monitors the branch food/beverage cost in relation to counter products.
• Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan and speciality beverages.
• Handling customer interactions at various levels of customer touch points.
• Consistently follows the set Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.Ps) during production.
• Maintains a clean, tidy and working counter at all times.
• Doing the daily stock take of counter products at the end of the shift.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Ensuring sufficient supply of products for sale in the counter by doing sufficient back up.
• Ensuring all take-away and eat in orders are dispensed promptly according to the order docket.
• Arranging the pastry case and ensuring that it is always clean.
• Reconfirming of orders done on Vuka.
• Controlling of wastage.
• Ensuring there is enough change at all times.
• Maintaining shift float money and ensuring no shortages.
• Timely closure of counter variances.
• Taking care of counter machines.
• Ensure countable daily stock are done correctly.
• Carry out any other task as may be instructed by your supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to think and make quick decisions under pressure, strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
• In-house training in baristaring and service.                                                   
• Excellent customer care technique and application.                                       
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
