Rainforest Alliance is looking for someone who is strategic, with a proven commercial track record, who will grow our corporate engagement, partnership development and revenue growth across Asia, Africa and Oceania (AAO).

The Regional Lead will manage a regional team responsible for building and strengthening relationships with companies, industry associations, governments, NGOs and other stakeholders. You will position Rainforest Alliance as a trusted sustainability partner, helping companies address evolving sustainability challenges and identify opportunities to create positive impact through responsible supply chains.

You will combine commercial experience with an understanding of sustainability, agricultural supply chains and corporate ESG priorities. You will be comfortable engaging senior corporate leaders, identifying strategic opportunities, and translating market needs into organizational action.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Engagement & Partnerships, the Regional Lead will play a critical role in advancing Rainforest Alliance’s 2030 strategy and accelerating impact across some of the world’s fastest-growing markets.

Leadership and Management:

  • Develop and implement regional engagement and growth strategies that strengthen Rainforest Alliance’s position across Asia, Africa and Oceania, delivering annual revenue, partnership and impact objectives.
  • Lead and develop a regional team (circa 8 people) to grow commercial performance, growing existing business, building strategic relationships, identifying new opportunities, and delivering year-on-year revenue growth.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics, forecasts and reporting for the regional portfolio, working with Revenue Operations and using data, analytics and stakeholder feedback to guide decision-making and improve performance.·
  • Analyze sustainability trends, regulatory developments, market dynamics and customer insights to identify opportunities for impact, engagement and revenue growth, and provide strategic recommendations to inform organizational priorities.
  • Be the voice of the customer and market internally, helping ensure Rainforest Alliance’s solutions, services and strategies remain relevant and responsive to evolving stakeholder needs.
  • Build, lead and develop a high-performing team that reflects Rainforest Alliance’s values, encouraging a positive and inclusive working environment while supporting professional growth and accountability.
  • Provide leadership, collaboration and strategic support across the global Corporate Engagement & Partnerships team.

Advocacy and External Engagement

  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key external stakeholders across sustainability, procurement, corporate affairs, government and civil society to strengthen Rainforest Alliance’s influence and insight.
  • Convene and facilitate cross-sector dialogue on shared sustainability challenges and opportunities, supporting collaboration and system-level change across priority markets.
  • Represent Rainforest Alliance at external forums, industry events and roundtables, positioning Rainforest Alliance as a trusted voice on sustainable sourcing and supply chain transformation.
  • Strengthening Rainforest Alliance’s visibility, credibility and thought leadership across the region through strategic engagement and speaking opportunities.
  • In collaboration with the Communications team, shape and deliver external-facing content, insights and messaging that amplify regional impact and organizational priorities.
  • Masters-level education or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years’ experience in senior B2B commercial roles, including complex sales, partnership development, or client leadership within international or matrix organizations.
  • Successful track record in developing and leading go-to-market strategies that deliver revenue growth and profitability, alongside external engagement, senior stakeholder management, and representation in multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Experience with sustainability, ESG or impact-driven business models, within FMCG, agriculture, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, forest products, or sustainability consultancy sectors.
  • Build, leverage and activate senior-level networks to lead commercial opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to inspire, develop and hold teams accountable, combined with a proven commercial track record.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
