Mud Engineer Job Baker Hughes

Engineering Jobs, Baker Hughes Jobs. Mud Engineer monitors drilling fluid systems, conducts chemical testing, and optimizes fluid performance at the wellsite, requires a Degree in Chemistry or Engineering and 2+ years of drilling fluids experience.

As a Mud Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting tests to adjust fluid properties, collaborating with the drilling team, managing fluid-related costs, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. 

Responsibilities

• Providing onsite services by measuring, testing, and supervising the running of fluid mixing and pumping, including technical analysis and specific recommendations for controlling fluid properties.
• May make sales calls on the field and field office level or accompany Sales Representative performing the same function.
• May train and direct work of entry level engineers.
• Conducts all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal, Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• Have a least 5 year’s experience with in-depth knowledge of Drilling Fluids products and services
• Able to identify the proper product and service for simple to complex applications.
• Have the ability to work in a global matrix organization.
• Have excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Have exceptional organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Have the ability to travel (potential for travel to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, trainings, etc.).
