Job Description
The Bartender/Mixologist is responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of beverages with creativity, precision, and consistency, ensuring high standards of hygiene, portion control, and bar presentation at all times. The role involves engaging guests professionally, recommending drinks based on preferences, and maintaining an organized, clean, and visually appealing bar environment. The Bartender/Mixologist ensures accurate recording of all Bar Department sales, lounge orders, and internal service entries through the resort’s computerized Point of Sale (POS) system. This position supports operational accountability, inventory control, revenue tracking, and overall profitability while contributing to exceptional guest satisfaction and service excellence.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to quality, portion, and garnish standards
- Take lounge or counter guest orders accurately and enter them promptly into the POS system
- Maintain smooth workflow and timely beverage service, including during peak pressure hours
- Suggest, test, and assist in developing new beverages for seasonal or event-specific menus when assigned
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar counters, trays, glassware, and service areas
- Monitor temperature-controlled beverage storage for wines, spirits, ice, and mixers
- Ensure bar equipment is clean, functional, and well-maintained at all times
- Report hygiene, safety, or maintenance concerns immediately to management
- Assist with ordering and receiving stocked bar supplies when assigned
- Monitor spirits, mixers, ice, garnishes, and bar essentials to minimize waste or shortages
- Maintain accurate electronic inventory records and flag discrepancies immediately
- Enforce portion accuracy, pouring precision, and recipe consistency to control costs
- Generate accurate guest bills through the POS system when required
- Reconcile POS lounge and bar sales records when directed by the Resort Manager
- Submit POS reconciliation reports for Resort Manager review and processing
- Report billing, inventory, or sales variances or errors immediately
- Train and support lounge or bar assistants on beverage menu knowledge when assigned
- Assist restaurant service operations during peak hours when directed
- Perform assigned closing duties including bar station cleanliness and POS entry accuracy
- Operate the POS system for all Bar Department sales, lounge bills, and internal bar service entries for reconciliation and accountability
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years beverage or bar service experience, preferably in a hotel or resort environment
- Certificate or Diploma in Mixology, Hospitality, or a related Food & Beverage or Lounge Operations field
- Computer literate with proficiency in POS sales entry, billing, and digital inventory logging workflows
- Defensive beverage service practices with strong hygiene awareness and discipline
- Ability to work long or irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Beverage creativity and precision in cocktail preparation and pouring discipline
- Bar station hygiene and professional presentation standards
- POS accuracy and reconciliation compliance discipline
- Multitasking ability, time management, and adaptability under pressure
- Teamwork and professionalism during peak lounge or restaurant operations
