Responsibilities
- Responsible for setting and overseeing the company’s overall vision, strategic direction, and long-term objectives, and for translating that strategy into clear, executable business plans.
- Providing overall financial and commercial leadership by overseeing the company’s budgets, sales strategy, revenue targets, and full profit and loss responsibility.
- Controlling pricing and profitability by approving pricing models, margin expectations, and discount structures, while continuously monitoring project margins and overall company profitability.
- Overseeing sales performance by monitoring the sales pipeline, forecasting accuracy, and conversion rates, ensuring sales commitments align with operational capacity.
- Leading key client relationships by conducting high-value negotiations, securing major contracts, and ensuring strong client engagement, satisfaction, and long-term retention.
- Governing design quality by overseeing design standards, innovation, and compliance, ensuring all design outputs meet client expectations, budget constraints, and build requirements.
- Managing design capacity and resources to ensure design teams are appropriately resourced, workloads are balanced, and project timelines are met.
- Ensuring effective integration between design and manufacturing teams by coordinating collaboration and ensuring designs are optimized for efficient production.
- Overseeing manufacturing operations by managing factory planning, workflow, and output, while ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and workplace safety.
- Controlling manufacturing costs and investments by optimizing production costs, lead times, and material usage, and approving capital expenditure on machinery and tooling.
- Aligning manufacturing output with site and project schedules to ensure seamless delivery from factory to installation and minimize delays.
- Overseeing site and construction operations, providing leadership on execution and resolving major site issues and escalations as they arise.
- Ensuring consistent project delivery by overseeing schedules, budgets, and scope, and by actively managing risks, variations, and contractual claims.
- Leading health, safety, and environmental performance by enforcing compliance across workshops and sites and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the business.
- Managing end-to-end operations by establishing and continuously improving workflows and ensuring strong coordination between sales, design, manufacturing, and site teams.
- Driving performance management by implementing key performance indicators and dashboards to track operational, financial, and delivery outcomes.
- Improving operational efficiency and scalability by driving lean processes and ensuring systems and procedures support sustainable growth.
- Overseeing financial planning and cash flow by approving budgets, forecasts, and cash flow plans while maintaining tight control over operating costs and overheads.
- Ensuring financial governance by maintaining compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Building and sustains high-performing leadership teams by recruiting, developing, and retaining capable leaders and establishing clear succession plans.
- Overseeing workforce planning by approving hiring strategies and key appointments and by setting effective performance management and incentive structures.
- Managing employee relations by addressing disciplinary matters and conflict resolution in a fair, consistent, and legally compliant manner.
- Leading supply chain and procurement strategy by overseeing supplier performance and approving key suppliers, subcontractors, and contractual arrangements.
- Managing supply chain risk by ensuring material availability, optimizing logistics and inventory management, and mitigating disruptions to delivery.
- Overseeing risk, compliance, and governance by ensuring adherence to contracts and regulations, managing insurance, warranties, and claims, leading crisis management and business continuity planning, and reporting performance and risks to owners, the board, or shareholders.
