We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Systems & Support Officer to join our team.
This role is pivotal in managing and maintaining the organization’s IT systems, networks, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will provide technical support, ensure data security, and drive digital transformation across departments.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Provide timely technical assistance to staff, resolving hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshoot and support end-users to ensure minimal downtime.
Network Administration
- Configure and maintain LAN/WAN networks.
- Monitor network performance and implement security measures.
Hardware & Software Management
- Install, upgrade, and maintain IT equipment and applications.
- Manage inventory and ensure regular system maintenance.
- Customize and maintain software to meet organizational needs.
Data Security
- Enforce data protection protocols and conduct regular backups.
- Ensure robust data recovery systems are in place.
System Administration
- Administer servers (file, email, database).
- Manage user accounts and access controls.
IT Policies & Procedures
- Review and update IT policies to align with industry standards.
- Promote staff awareness on IT security and best practices.
IT Infrastructure
- Oversee infrastructure upgrades including cabling and hardware.
- Recommend and implement technology improvements.
Security & Compliance
- Stay updated on cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws and maintain accurate IT documentation.
Systems Development & Automation
- Automate paper-based workflows across departments (HR, Finance, Fleet, Dispatch, Training).
- Develop and maintain databases and digital tools.
- Collaborate with teams to translate needs into IT solutions.
Training & Capacity Building
- Train staff on new systems and digital tools.
- Create user manuals, SOPs, and support digital adoption.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Explore emerging technologies and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Identify opportunities for automation and improved efficiency.
- Align IT systems with organizational strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of proven working experience in IT support and system administration with 5years being at Supervisory Level.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networking.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and data protection regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Project management experience is an added advantage.
