Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Religious Education, Arabic, or a closely related field.
  • Valid TSC Registration (or verifiable proof of application).
  • Proven experience teaching IRE and Arabic at the secondary school level, with demonstrated ability to deliver the syllabus effectively.
  • Excellent classroom management skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for nurturing students’ academic and moral development.
  • Commitment to maintaining high professional and ethical standards.
  • Deliver rigorous and inspiring lessons in Islamic Religious Education and Arabic that encourage deep understanding. critical reflection, and practical application in line with the Kenyan secondary curriculum.
  • Design comprehensive schemes of work, engaging lesson plans, and authentic teaching resources that stimulate academic excellence and spiritual growth.
  • Foster a positive and respectful learning environment that embodies the values of discipline, respect, and ethical leadership.
  • Conduct consistent, thorough assessments and provide insightful feedback to drive student progress and outstanding examination results.
  • Guide and mentor students to become confident, knowledgeable, and morally upright individuals prepared to contribute positively to society.
  • Actively participate in curriculum development, departmental initiatives, and co-curricular activities such as Islamic clubs, Quranic recitations, and moral leadership programs.
  • Uphold and champion As-Salaam High School’s core values by modeling integrity, dedication, and excellence.

Preferred Strengths:

  • Experience preparing students for KCSE or equivalent examinations with notable success.
