Looking for an HR job in Kenya? ARC Ride is recruiting an HR & Admin Manager. Based in Nairobi, the role requires strong experience in HR and office administration to oversee talent management, employee relations, and daily operations.

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

About The Role

The HR & Admin Manager will be strategic in developing and executing the people change management plan in collaboration with the Executive team. He/she will supervise and provide consultation to management on staffing, compensation, benefits, training, development, labor relations, and compliance. The role also includes leading regional HR team setups to ensure consistency and alignment across ARC Ride’s operations in Kenya and neighboring markets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Design and execute the Group People Strategy aligned to ARC Ride’s growth objectives.
  • Build and own a scalable HR operating model across all countries of operation.
  • Partner with the Executive Team to support organizational growth, workforce planning, and talent strategies.
  • Provide strategic guidance on organizational structure, succession planning, and change management.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Develop and oversee recruitment strategies to attract top talent across all markets.
  • Lead workforce planning initiatives to support business expansion.
  • Ensure a consistent and effective onboarding experience across the Group.

Culture, Engagement & Employee Welfare

  • Champion and embed ARC Ride’s culture and values across all locations.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement, recognition, and wellness initiatives.
  • Foster a high-performance, inclusive, and people-centric work environment.
  • Drive initiatives that improve employee satisfaction, retention, and productivity.

Performance & Leadership Development

  • Own the Group performance management framework.
  • Develop leadership and succession programs for critical roles.
  • Identify learning and development opportunities to build organizational capability.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory requirements across all countries.
  • Lead employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and governance frameworks.

HR Operations & Administration

  • Oversee HR systems, employee records, payroll coordination, reporting, and analytics.
  • Drive process improvement and automation across HR operations.
  • Oversee office administration, facilities, insurance, and employee support services.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • CHRP Certification and a valid HR Practicing Licence.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling HR functions in a high-growth organization.
  • Experience supporting multi-country or regional operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of organizational development, talent management, culture transformation, and employee engagement.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to align people strategy with business objectives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Talent Acquisition: Fill critical vacancies within agreed timelines and maintain quality hires.
  • Employee Engagement & Culture: Improve employee engagement, retention, and overall employee experience.
  • Performance Management: Achieve 100% completion of performance reviews and development plans.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure full compliance with labor laws, company policies, and statutory requirements across all operating countries.
  • HR Strategy Execution: Deliver annual HR initiatives and workforce plans that support business growth and regional expansion.
  • Leadership & Succession: Establish and maintain succession plans for critical positions and strengthen leadership capability.
  • HR Operations Excellence: Ensure timely and accurate HR reporting, payroll coordination, and HRIS adoption.
  • Employee Welfare: Implement employee welfare and wellbeing programs that promote a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • Certified Human Resource Professional I or II (CHRP I/II)
  • HR Practicing licence
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and statutory requirements
  • Experience with HRIS systems and HR databases
  • Tech-savvy, proficient in MS Office and G-Suite
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable, results-oriented, innovative, and detail-focused
