Field Engineer GEN – Drilling Services Job Baker Hughes

Engineering Jobs, Baker Hughes Jobs. Field Engineer GEN – Drilling Services executes drilling operations, analyzes downhole sensor data, and optimizes directional drilling performance, requires an Engineering Degree and 2+ years of drilling services experience.

Under broad direction provides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems at the well site where analysis of data requires having a broad knowledge of the product line(s) tool(s) and/or service.  Work is evaluated upon completion by a Field Supervisor, local Operations Management and the external Customer to ensure objectives have been met.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a project leader and mentors junior field engineers. 
• Providing direct instruction and supervision to junior field engineers on day-to-day well site work and activities.
• Providing advice and direction to external customer and third-party wellsite colleagues as appropriate.
• Executing other related duties as assigned.
• Conducting all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• Have at least 5 years of experience in drilling operations as DD.
• DDx experience preferred.
• RPS experience preferred.
• Be skilled in drilling operations and applications
• Able to identify the proper product and service for simple to complex applications
• Have the ability to work in a global matrix organization.
• Have excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Have exceptional organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Have the ability to travel (potential for travel to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, trainings, etc.).
