Engineering Technologist -Mechanical at KEMRI Responsible for supporting the maintenance, inspection, repair, and efficient operation of mechanical systems and equipment. Requires a relevant qualification in mechanical engineering, mechanical technology, or a related field, with strong technical, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance skills. The role is based in Nairobi with duties performed on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify repair and maintenance requirements and report to the supervisor
- Prepare repair and maintenance schedules for equipment
- Carry out service, repair and maintenance equipment
- Test, repair and install new equipment where applicable
- Perform any other duties assigned from time to time
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical engineering (production option) or equivalent from a recognized institution – Mandatory
- Proficiency in computer application Mandatory
- Communication and reporting skills Skills & Competencies
- Interpersonal skills Skills & Competencies
- Teamwork Skills & Competencies
